Holding Neighboring States Accountable

Connecticut should never bear the financial or environmental consequences of decisions made by neighboring states. As your next Attorney General, I will defend Connecticut’s interests whenever outside actions harm our residents, businesses, or natural resources.

I will:

Hold neighboring states accountable when pollution harms Connecticut’s rivers, drinking water, or Long Island Sound.
Pursue legal action when interstate policies unfairly burden Connecticut taxpayers or businesses.
Defend Connecticut’s environmental and economic interests through aggressive legal advocacy.
Work with federal agencies to enforce laws that protect Connecticut communities.
Ensure Connecticut always has a strong legal voice when our state’s interests are threatened.

Protect Connecticut Consumers

The Attorney General’s Office should be the first line of defense for consumers. I will aggressively enforce Connecticut’s consumer protection laws to ensure families are treated fairly in an increasingly complex economy.

I will:

Investigate AI-driven pricing practices that unfairly target Connecticut consumers.
Crack down on deceptive business practices and consumer fraud.
Protect seniors from financial exploitation and scams.
Fight price gouging and unfair market practices. Hold corporations accountable when they violate Connecticut law.

Real Tax Relief through state government accountability

Protecting Your Tax Dollars

Connecticut taxpayers deserve a government that spends their money responsibly. As Attorney General, I will hold those who misuse taxpayer dollars accountable, enforce laws against fraud, and promote transparency in state government.

I will:

Aggressively enforce the Connecticut False Claims Act against contractors who defraud taxpayers.
Hold state contractors accountable for fraud, waste, and abuse.
Increase oversight of how Connecticut tax dollars are spent.
Pursue accountability when taxpayer funds are misused.
Promote transparency and responsible stewardship of every tax dollar.

Lower Healthcare Costs

Connecticut families deserve affordable, accessible healthcare. As Attorney General, I will use existing antitrust and consumer protection laws to protect patients, promote competition, and hold bad actors accountable.

I will:

Scrutinize hospital mergers that reduce competition.
Challenge private equity takeovers that put profits ahead of patients.
Enforce protections against surprise medical billing.
Hold pharmaceutical companies accountable for unfair pricing practices.
Ensure what happened at Waterbury, Manchester, and Rockville General never happens again in Connecticut.

Public Safety

Connecticut families deserve safe communities. As Attorney General, I will use the office’s civil authority to support law enforcement, protect victims, and hold criminal organizations accountable.

I will:

Support local law enforcement through civil enforcement tools.
Use civil forfeiture and nuisance abatement against criminal enterprises.
Combat organized retail crime and financial fraud rings.
Protect crime victims from secondary victimization.
Work closely with the Chief State’s Attorney and Connecticut’s state’s attorneys who prosecute criminal cases in Connecticut.

Parental Rights

Connecticut parents have the right to direct their children’s education. As Attorney General, I will defend parental rights, uphold due process, and ensure state policies affecting families comply with state and federal law.

I will:

Defend the rights of parents to direct their children’s education.
Protect the rights of families who choose home schooling.
Use the Attorney General’s formal opinion authority to ensure state policies comply with due process.
Ensure state agencies respect the fundamental parental rights protected under state and federal law.
Stand up for parents and ensure government respects their constitutional rights.

Transparency & Accountability

Connecticut taxpayers deserve an open and accountable government. As Attorney General, I will make the office a true watchdog over state government, state contractors, nonprofits, and NGOs, and fight for greater transparency in Hartford.

I will:

Make the Attorney General’s office a genuine watchdog over state government, state contractors, nonprofits, and NGOs.
Publish annual reports on the office’s activities.
Pursue aggressive civil enforcement against public corruption.
Advocate for “truth in spending” reforms that require real transparency from the General Assembly.
Restore accountability after more than two decades of single-party control.
